A fan favorite in the South Jersey Jazz Series, jazz organist Akiko Tsuruga, will come to the Protests Community Church’s Memorial Hall in Medford Lakes on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m.
Tsuruga has fashioned a first-rate professional resume since arriving in New York in 2001 from her native Japan. With a resume showing performances across the U.S. and abroad, she’s currently the organist in legendary jazz saxophonist Lou Donaldson’s ensemble.
Among others, she’s also worked with jazz giants Frank Wess, Grady Tate, Houston Person and Roy Hargrove.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors. Refreshments included. Call (609) 654–4220 or visit www.jazzandbluesshowcase.com for more information.
