An introductory class in life story writing will be taught by Mary V. Danielsen of Documented Legacy, a Mt. Laurel based personal historian company, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27 at the Medford Senior Center, Cranberry Hall. The workshop is part of a series of presentations on genealogy and family history hosted by Lora Kline, a professional genealogist and vice president of the Philadelphia Area Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists.
The 90-minute life story writing class will focus on how to incorporate personal stories with genealogy research to breathe life into your family history. We will discuss the value of recording one’s story; how to begin the process; getting organized; pacing your memory; collaborating with others; using photos and other documents; filling in gaps with other research; and when to share your project with others.
The cost of the classes is $5. For more information on the family history series and the Medford Genealogy Group, contact Lora Kline at [email protected].
Walk-ins are welcome. To reserve a space and get the handout by email, register with Lora Kline.
