Letters From The Library

Dear Friends,

As we approach the end of another year, it is a time of reflection on the year past. The Pinelands Library is no exception.

We have had so many new programs. The Summer Reading Program drew hundreds of children, and our monthly raffles have had wonderful offerings. Family Movie Nights have provided a fun family time for many to view specially selected movies for all to enjoy. Our recent Star Wars: Jedi Knight Academy packed the house. It was standing room only!

Our new Browse Books Program has been another popular addition, and as always, the passes to local attractions are in high demand.

Remember that the library will be open during Christmas vacation. Children of all ages can begin to plan for their vacation reading. We have offerings to suit every taste. Tweens can read “Middle School: The worst Years of My Life” in preparation for our Tween Book Club meeting Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 4 p.m.

As we reflect on our good fortune during the past year, we thank all our generous benefactors and patrons for their support in providing the funding for all our programs. We thank the library staff for their devotion to their tasks, and we thank you, our guests, for spending time with us.

Until next time, keep turning those pages and a safe and Happy New Year.

Margaret Lafferty
