Star Gazing Event
Don’t miss out on the Sky Surfers Astronomy Club star gazing event at Camp Ockanickoat. It’s will be a four-Saturday program beginning on Sept. 10 and running on Sept. 24, Oct. 8 and Oct. 22. Each class runs from dusk until 9 p.m. Camp Ockanickon, located at 1303 Stokes Rd., is home to the Tatum Observatory that allows for some amazing star-gazing on the 800-acre property in the pines.
Through the Night Sky Network, a nationwide coalition of amateur astronomy clubs, camp is offering a bi-monthly club to bring science, technology and inspiration about the galaxy to the public. Ages 13 and up are welcome. The cost is $30 per members and $50 for non-members for the entire four-night experience.
