The fundraiser raises money to support the Medford Township Public Schools through donations.
The Medford Education Foundation (MEF) is hosting its 11th Annual Dine Out for Education event on Tuesday, Feb. 7. Dine Out for Education is a fundraising event that raises money to support the Medford Township Public Schools through donations and grants directed by the MEF.
Dining Out is an ordinary act that will make an extraordinary impact on our children, our schools and ultimately our community. This charitable event will be held at seventeen participating restaurants in the Medford area that have all pledged to donate up to 15 percent or more of each customer’s bill to the MEF.
“’Dining Out for Education’ brings the community together in an effort to raise much-needed funds to support the Medford Education Foundation,” MEF President, Kristine Adler, said. “We are incredibly grateful for the restaurants that participate in this annual event and to the community for taking time to dine out for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. [The date of the event] is a district-wide ‘homework holiday,’ so it is a wonderful opportunity to take a night off and enjoy some quality family time while supporting a great cause.”
Participating restaurants include: Zinc Café, Ginger Asian Cuisine, Illiano Cucina Mediterranea, Braddock’s Tavern, La Bella Pizza, Riviera Pizza on Stokes, DiLisi’s Pizza, La Campagnola, Rustic Grille, Femmina Italian Grill, Jasmine Oriental Cuisine, Medford Bagel Shop, Tarantella Ristorante, Fortune Cookie Chinese Restaurant, L.B. Daniels Restaurant, Ott’s Restaurant, and the Pop Shop-Medford. Restaurants open for breakfast include the Medford Bagel Shop, L.B. Daniel’s Restaurant and The Pop Shop- Medford.

Since 2004, with the support of our community, the MEF has raised more than $750,000 to benefit our students. Funds are distributed back to the schools through the Education Grant Program, which encourages creativity in the classroom by providing resources for extraordinary educational experiences such as hands on classroom projects, field trips, art, music and drama programs, enhanced STEM education, an outdoor classroom and the procurement of technological advances throughout the district.
Additionally, the MEF has supported direct donations to District Headquarters in support of district wide initiatives, including, but not limited to:
• $50,000 towards the Chrome Book initiative to provide an opportunity for our students to access and integrate technology directly in the classroom.
- $50,000 towards the advancement of Science Curriculum as part of the Next Generation Science Standards initiative, which will support pilot programs of different science curriculums throughout the district in order to develop a science program for years to come.
Please join the MEF in dining out at the seventeen fantastic restaurants supporting our public schools on Tuesday, Feb. 7 during the 11th Annual Dine Out for Education Day.
