We have a new record

The second week of the Tri-County Swim Season saw the Woodstream Barracudas of Marlton hosting their first home meet against the Haddon Glen Sea Horses of Haddon Heights. Though there were individual highlights for the Barracuda and mother nature provided a beautiful day, the numbers were not in favor of the hometown team this day as Woodstream lost 360–194.

The highlights of the meet for the Barracudas were the breaking of two individual team records. Morgan Sage broke the 13–14 girls record for the 50 meter fly with a time of 30.90 seconds, eclipsing the old record of 31.28 seconds. Danny Bennett broke his own record for the 15–18 boys 200 meter individual medley with a time of 2:15.38 by over 1-second.

Woodstream had six double winners on the day: Gianna Antonelli, girls 8 and under, 25 meter breaststroke (25.78) and 25 meter fly (21.33), Jamie Bowne, girls 11 to 12, 50 meter free (31.20) and 50 meter fly (32.71), Breanna Gleason, girls 11 to 12, 100 individual medley (1:18.97) and 50 meter breast stroke (42.33).

Matthew Crysler, boys 9 to 10, 50 meter free (36.63) and 25 meter fly (17.50), Ryan Fanelli, boys 9 to 10, 25 meter backstroke (21.96) and 25 meter breaststroke (20.58), Andrew VanDyk, boys 11 to 12, 50 meter backstroke (39.27) and 50 meter fly (39.92), Danny Bennett, boys 15 to 18, 200 meter individual medley (2:15.38) and 100 meter breaststroke (1:11.40).

This was the second straight loss for the Barracudas.
