The Samaritan Center for Grief Support, a member of the Samaritan Family of Services, announced its next support group schedule.
“Grief is a natural, healthy and universal emotion. It helps us accept a loss and begin to heal. You don’t have to grieve alone,” said Kim Rumaker, Manager of the Samaritan Center for Grief Support.
The following support groups will be held at various locations starting Tuesday, Sept. 2:
The Grieving Heart — For adults grieving the loss of a family member or friend
Monthly Sessions
Sept 13, 2–3:30 p.m. Virtua Memorial in Mt. Holly, 175 Madison Ave
Sept. 20, 10–11:30 a.m. Hammonton Library, 451 S Egg Harbor Road, Hammonton.
Daughters Without Mothers ($40–8 Sessions) — For daughters grieving the loss of their mother
Eight Sessions
Starting Thursday, Sept. 4, 6 p.m. South County Regional Library, 35 Cooper Folly Road, Atco.
Early Endings ($30–6 sessions) — Younger adults grieving the loss of a spouse or partner
Six sessions
Starting Tuesday, Sept. 2, 6 p.m. South County Regional Library, 35 Cooper Folly Road, Atco.
Bereaved Parents ($30–6 sessions) — For parents mourning the loss of a child
Six sessions
Starting Thursday, Sept. 18, 6 p.m. 5 Eves Drive, Marlton
Grieving the Love of Your Life ($40–8 sessions) -For those grieving the loss of a spouse or partner
Eight sessions
Starting Monday, Sept. 8, 6 p.m. 5 Eves Drive, Marlton
Samaritan’s grief support groups are open to anyone in the community, but registration is required at (856) 596–8550. Other Center services include grief counseling for adults and children and PTSD counseling services for active military and veterans.
