DNA evidence links Mount Laurel man to year old robbery of T.J. Maxx store

The following information comes from Lt. Joseph Friel of the Evesham Township Police Department:

Following the armed robbery of a T.J Maxx Store in Evesham Township on Jan. 19, investigators were able to collect DNA evidence from the scene that was later used to identify and connect a suspect to the crime.

During the investigation Evesham investigators submitted DNA evidence to the New Jersey State Police laboratory for testing.

The results of the DNA tests along with other evidence led the Evesham Police Department to charging a male with committing the robbery.

On March 4 the United States Marshals Service located and arrested the suspect hiding in an apartment building in East Camden.

Arrested:

A male, age 30, of Mount Laurel was charged with second degree robbery. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $150,000 full bail.
