The Evesham Education Foundation held its fourth annual “Wine, Dine & Win!” on Friday, Jan. 30. The event was attended by more than 450 attendees and by every measure was a success. Attendees sampled hundreds of wines from around the world, fine foods and had the opportunity to try lady luck playing games such as black jack, roulette and craps for the opportunity to win tickets for our basket auction featuring more than 50 basket prizes!
This event would not be possible without the help and support of so many individuals and businesses in the town. We thank our event sponsors: Wineworks Marlton, Wine Director Charlie Beatty and the Wineworks ownership for their commitment to the success of this event. In addition, we want to thank event sponsor Oak Mortgage and Oak Mortgage president Bill Gelernt for their continued and tireless support and commitment.
Without the generosity and support of all our event sponsors, our project does not get off the ground. In addition, we cannot go a moment further without showing our gratitude toward our outside food sponsors: Flemings Steakhouse and Wine Bar, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Good Foods To Go, Carlo’s Bakery, Brio Marcello’s Italian Ristorante, A- La- Cart Catering, Andreotti’s Catering, Rastelli Market Fresh and Jersey Mike’s Subs for their wonderful food samplings and generosity.
A big part of the evening was a presentation by Pat McKenna Realtors signifying a donation of $10,400. This was a donation made by all of the agents of Pat McKenna Realtors and shows the deep commitment that the McKenna organization has in our community! We thank you!
There are so many individuals and businesses who participated in some fashion where their support helped make this event a huge success. We are so grateful for the work and effort done by the event committee of more than 15 dedicated volunteers. Our volunteers worked tirelessly doing numerous things such as canvassing for donations and sponsorships, preparing the outstanding prize baskets, selling tickets or a myriad of other necessary aspects to put on an event of such size and complexity with everyone performing admirably.
Due to the size and scope of this event, we needed more than 90 volunteers to assist with the evening. We were so fortunate to have many district teachers, administrators and support staff as well as area residents give their time to make our event such a success.
Lastly, we want to thank all of the many attendees for coming out, having a great time and giving us the financial support we needed.
The Evesham Education Foundation was formed in 1995 by a group of concerned residents and business leaders for the purpose enhancing the educational opportunities for all students in the Evesham Township school district. Over the years, the foundation has contributed well over a million dollars to fund programs like CAPPS (Coordinated Arts Program for Primary Students), Genesis Counseling Program and The Metamorphosis Program, in addition to the purchase of art and science carts, pianos, Active Boards, laptops and other technology. Because of the donation of time, talent and treasure of individuals and business, we are able to continue our mission. Please visit our website at www.eveshameducationfoundation.org to find out more and to see a list of our generous sponsors and patrons. On behalf of the Evesham Education Foundation and all of the students in the district…Thank You!
