Evesham Police continue to accept applications for Citizen’s Police Academy through Feb. 15

Spots are still open for the sessions to run on Tuesdays, from March 7 until April 25.

The Evesham Township Police Department is still accepting applications for its next Citizen’s Police Academy through Feb. 15.

The next session of the academy will start on Tuesday, March 7 and will run until April 25. Classes will be held at the Evesham Township Municipal Complex each Tuesday night from 6:30 to 9 p.m. for eight weeks.

Police describe the academy as a great opportunity to get to know the members of the police department and experience a “behind the scenes look at one of the most professional law enforcement agencies in the state.”

Some of the topics covered will be traffic/DWI enforcement, criminal investigation, canine deployment, and use of force. The department will also be taking a trip to the 911 call center for a tour and utilization of the Firearms Training Simulator.

Applications can be picked up at the municipal complex or downloaded from the police department website, www.eveshampd.org.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age and either be a resident of Evesham Township or a business owner in Evesham Township.

Completed applications and any questions regarding this program can be directed to Lt. Ron Ritter at [email protected] or Ofc. Jessica Lettieri at [email protected].
