Evesham Police quickly identify burglary suspects with help of Facebook followers

On July 5, police asked for information on suspects that had allegedly stolen a women’s purse from her car and used her credit cards.

The following information comes from the Evesham Township Police Department:

On July 5, the Evesham Township Police Department reached out to its Facebook followers seeking help in identifying suspects from the accompanying surveillance pictures.

Police say the suspects had allegedly stolen a women’s purse from her car in broad daylight and used the victim’s credit cards to purchase gift cards at nearby pharmacies.

From the handful of tips the department received, police say officers were able to identify one of the females and the owner of the truck.

On July 11, officers from the Maple Shade Police Department located and arrested the trunk owner, a male, who was staying in a motel on Route 73.

Police say they have identified the female in the surveillance picture with the blonde hair, while the female with the dark hair has yet to be identified.

Arrested:

A male, age 35, of Maple Shade, was arrested in outstanding criminal warrant and was lodge in the Burlington County Jail in default of bail.

A female, age 35, of Maple Shade, was charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree theft and fourth-degree unauthorized use of credit cards. She is currently wanted and her whereabouts are unknown.
