Kids can meet Coast Guard Auxiliary member Mike Slepian to hear the story “The Guardians of the Straits” by Tyler Benson.
On Aug. 29, kids can stop by the Evesham Library to hear a story about a coast guard dog and try on coast guard equipment.
Coast Guard Auxiliary member Mike Slepian will present “The Guardians of the Straits” by Tyler Benson, a story about Onyx, the brave Coast Guard stowaway dog.
Slepian will have life jackets, a hand-held marine radio, actual Coast Guard equipment and a float coat to try on.
Attendees can also see the photos of Atlantic City’s own hero Coast Guard dog.
This event is open to kids and begins at 2 p.m. on Aug. 29 at the Evesham Library.
