Initiative to welcome out-of-borough students returns for 2019–20 school year
The Board of Education of the Haddonfield School District voted on
Thursday, Feb. 28 to once again accept tuition students for the 2019–20 academic year.
The tuition program allows students who reside outside of Haddonfield Borough to enroll in Haddonfield’s middle or high school by paying tuition to the district. The tuition program was not offered for the 2018–19 school year, so this decision is good news for families who want to send their
students to Haddonfield schools.
Openings are limited. There are 20 tuition slots for 6 th grade, 15 tuition slots for 9th grade, three slots for 10th grade and two slots for 11th grade. Families of students who will be in one of those grades this fall and who are interested in pursuing this option are encouraged to contact the Board Secretary
immediately.
Hadonfield Middle School and Haddonfield Memorial High School will offer tuition candidates a visitation day during which the prospective student will shadow a current student for an entire day. In addition, the schools will hold an open house in the near future.
Although there are no openings in Grades 7 or 8, families of current sixth-and seventh-graders who are interested in applying to the high school in the future may inquire at this time as well.
