The suspect, a 34-year-old man from Chesilhurst, was charged with burglary, theft and possession of marijuana.
On Thursday, May 24, at approximately 3:30 a.m. Cherry Hill Police officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Morris Drive after an alert resident reported observing a male inside his parked vehicle.
The suspect fled on foot after being confronted by the homeowner. A Police K-9 unit from Voorhees Police Department responded to assist with a track of the suspect and a short time later he was discovered hiding in a vehicle several blocks from the burglary. The suspect was identified as James Palmer, 34, of Chesilhurst. He was arrested and charged with burglary, theft, and possession of marijuana. He was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.
