About 20 years ago this article never would have existed, but today it’s a necessity. School is just around the corner, and students and parents alike will be flocking to different school district websites to see their class lists, download permission forms, physical forms, and even track their grades.
The Cherry Hill School District website is a useful and ever-present source of information for parents and students in the district looking for breaking news, calendar postings, and individual school sites within the district.
The district site welcomes visitors with an updated news scroll that is added to every week with new initiatives and changes within the district and its 19 individual schools.
Visitors can choose from a number of tabs on the left side on the site to see information on the district’s curriculum offerings, a full yearly calendar for 2011–2012, and other community information.
Parents with students can visit the 19 individual schools in the district and see information specific to the institutions as well.
The board of education section of the district’s website gives contact information and a biography of each BOE member. In addition to this information visitors can find upcoming meeting agendas, minutes from past meetings, and current RFPs that are being considered.
Taxpayers and parents can also visit the budget section of the website for the 2011–2012 school year. All budget presentations, documents and forms that were released or presented during the budget process this year can be found and downloaded on the site.
Also, for parents of students at the middle school and high school levels, they can access specialized parent portals on the individual school websites to track the educational careers of their children. Parents can see upcoming assignments, notes from teachers, and grades for their children.
Visitors can also find links to the official Cherry Hill Township website, the Cherry Hill Fire Department, Cherry Hill Library, and others.
