Winter weather to impact township events, scheduled roadwork

With winter weather and extremely cold temperatures in the forecast for this weekend and early next week, events and scheduled roadwork have been postponed next week.

A couple cancellations have been announced as winter weather is expected to hit the region this weekend, to be followed by extreme cold early next week.

Due to the expected weather and extremely cold temperatures, Cherry Hill Township has cancelled all of its events scheduled for Monday, Jan. 21. This includes the volunteer portions of its Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.

On the construction side, the scheduled gas main installation on Springdale road has been postponed. Springdale Road was originally scheduled to be closed during the day, Monday through Wednesday of next week. The work has tentatively been moved to Monday, Jan. 28 through Wednesday, Jan. 30. The work will also take place at night, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
