With the end of the year approaching, many individuals and families will be looking at their finances and taxes in the coming weeks to review the past year and prepare forĀ 2014.
To help provide insights into how to maximize oneās philanthropic giving, the Jewish Community Foundation, Inc. invites the public to a free seminar, featuring experts in the accounting, financial, and legal fields. This program is sponsored by Friedenthal Financial, LLC.
On Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 5:30 p.m. at the Katz JCC, Jack Goodman of Friedenthal Financial, LLC, Peter Cordua of Cordua, Pastore & Associates, and Phillip Godorov of Godorov & Nesevich LLC will present on the subject of āEfficient Philanthropy.ā Attendees will learn about financial, legal, and tax implications of various types of philanthropic vehicles and other related issues regarding how to give money away to charity and gain subsequent tax benefits.
This is a timely topic as many donations are made to charities at the end of the calendar year, and this program will be beneficial to those who are planning to do so, as well as to donors who may prefer to wait and make their donations in 2014. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers on estate and financial planning. A complimentary deli dinner will beĀ served.
Please RSVP to Mike Staff at the JCF at (856) 673ā2528 or [email protected] by Oct. 22. An additional seminar, also sponsored by Friedenthal Financial will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 5:30 p.m. with details to be announced in the nearĀ future.
