The following information was provided by the Cherry Hill Police Department.
On Saturday Sept. 27 at approximately 3:30 p.m., police were called to the Feather Nest Inn for the report of a disturbance between a male and female. Police knocked on the motel room door and spoke with the male and female occupant.
While speaking with the two occupants police observed in plain view a white rock substance surrounded by smaller white rocks, and two clear glass tubes commonly used to smoke crack cocaine. Both occupants denied ownership of the property. They were both arrested for having the drugs in plain view. The room was then secured and a search warrant obtained. The subsequent search revealed over two ounces of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
The suspects, a 40 year-old man from Clifton Heights, Penn. and a 30-year-old woman from Philadelphia were charged with distribution of cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were remanded to the Camden County Jail in lieu of $35,000 full cash bail.
