On Friday Oct. 10, Classic Cake will host its annual community event at its storefront in the Short Hills Town Center, Cherry Hill. The event kicks off at 3 p.m. and guests will enjoy a host of activities and lots of sweet treats.
Over the years, the Classic Cake party has been known for its “decorate your own cupcake” station, face-painting, balloon art and a flowing chocolate fountain with Chef Robert Bennett by its side.
This year, there will be a moon bounce and popcorn through J-Dogs Catering and Amusements and a visit from South Jersey’s favorite dragon, Truman of Kidsville News. There will also be a photo booth to savor the memories.
The proud partner of the Philadelphia Flyers, Classic Cake is pleased to welcome Todd “The Fridge” Fedoruk and Dave “The Hammer” Schultz to the big event. They will sign autographs and talk about the upcoming season. Speaking of that, with the Flyers’ home opener the night before, Classic Cake will honor the “orange and black” and encourage folks of all ages to wear their best Flyers’ garb for a pep rally of sorts.
As in the past, the event is also about giving back to the community. The annual event this year will work in conjunction with Comcast-Spectacor Flyers Charities and donate proceeds from special charity cupcakes and “buck a scoop” gelato sold that day.
