A detour has been put in place on Cooper Landing Road for today. The detour will also be in place on Monday and Tuesday next week. The detour is to help facilitate the ongoing repaving of the road.
The detour is in effect for motorists traveling from Chapel Avenue to Route 70. One-way traffic is permitted for cars traveling from Route 70 to Chapel Avenue.
“Cooper Landing road connects Route 70 to Route 38, making it one of the busiest roads in the area. It is our responsibility to keep it in the best condition possible for those who travel that route every day,” said Camden County Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the CCDPW. “We ask that motorists report any roadway concerns they encounter to us. We need the public to be engaged in the effort to make Camden County a better place to live and drive across our 1,400 lane miles of highway.”
The project, which began earlier in the summer, will repave Cooper Landing Road from Route 70 and Rout 38. There will also be other improvements such as the replacement of some curbing and sidewalks and the installation of traffic striping.
The project should be completed in about six months. Delays should be expected along the road in the construction area during peak drive times.
