The forum will be led by Dr. Michael Shore, Region IV Director of the American Society of Addiction Medicine for New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Ohio, Scott Wesienberger, chief clinical officer at Malvern Institute with guest speaker and Bernie Parent, Philadelphia Flyers legend and Malvern Institute community liaison.

The Malvern Institute’s new Cherry Hill outpatient center’s clinicians specialize in addiction treatment and deliver empathetic and unrivaled care at the new center. Shore leads the Medication Assistance Recovery Program at Cherry Hill along with psychiatric and addiction services.

“Increasingly, patients have both substance use disorders and psychiatric disorders,” Shore said. “We have to consider the disorders together when planning treatment. The unique access to psychiatrists and medical professionals at Malvern Institute means patients no longer have to consult two institutions while battling addiction.”
