Voters in Cherry Hill went to the polls on Nov. 7 and elected members of the governing body and board of education.
The Camden County Clerk’s Office has posted unofficial results from the election on its website. All of the election results will remain unofficial until a vote counting process that could take more than a week has been completed.
The totals as of Nov. 8 do not include late mail-in ballots and provisional ballots, which are expected to be tallied later this week.
With 50 of 53 precincts reporting, here are the current results.
For the mayoral election, Democratic candidate and current council president David Fleisher looks to win the seat against Republican contender Nicole Nance, in a 70% to 29% vote, or 12,084 votes to 5,017 votes as of Nov. 8.
For Cherry Hill Council, Republican candidates David Lodge, Judi Giacobani Russo, and Stephen Heath Jr., ran against Democratic incumbents Michele Golkow, Brian Bauerle and Jennifer Apell for three seats.
With twice as many votes, incumbents Golkow, Bauerle and Apell are slated to keep their seats.
Apell received the most votes with 11,840, Golkow followed with 11,770 votes and Bauerle has received 11,594 votes.
Lodge received 5,109 votes, Russo follows with 5,249 votes and Heath has received 4,988 votes. There are 49 write-in votes.
In the race for three open seats on the Cherry Hill Board of Education, seven candidates ran: incumbents Kimberly Gallagher, Miriam Stern, and Ineda “Corrien” Elmore-Stratton and candidates Jennifer Sharmon, Nicholas Gaudio Jr., John (Jack) Brangan, and Renee Cherfane.
With 50 of 53 precincts reporting, the top three vote recipients were Gallagher, with 7,791 votes, Miriam Stern, with 7,503 votes and Renee Cherfane, with 5,524 votes as of Nov. 8.
Candidate Jennifer Sharman has received 5,450 votes, Elmore-Stratton received 5,272 votes, Gaudio received 4,949 votes, and Brangan has received 4,407 votes. There are 258 write-in votes.
