Cherry Hill Police launch a new community campaign

Members of the police department will participate in runs and activities as part of “Run With Us, Not Away From Us.”

The Cherry Hill Police Department recognizes the importance and value of face-to-face interaction with members of the public in a non-confrontational setting. These moments build trust and lead to lasting community partnerships.

The CHPD had a great turnout for its first “Coffee With a Cop,” and the department hopes to reach residents of all ages with its new campaign, “Run With Us, Not Away From Us.”

Members of the CHPD participate in various runs and activities throughout the year to support local organizations. It is important for police to be visible in the community and get to know their residents.

The Cherry Hill Public Library and the Cherry Hill Recreation Department will be hosting its second annual Book it 5K & Wellness Day on Saturday, Sept. 23, beginning at 8:30 a.m. CHPD officers will be on location for a meet-and-greet as well as participating in the 5K run.

The CHPD encourages anyone interested to come out and join its team. More information can be found at https://runsignup.com/bookit5k.
