The weekend is dedicated to supporting small businesses during one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year. Downtown Haddonfield invites everyone to ‘shop small’ at their favorite locally owned stores and restaurants in the Downtown — and remember to show a ‘Shop Haddonfield’ Property Tax Reward Card when holiday shopping in the Downtown.
Merchants along Kings Highway and our charming side streets — including Mechanic, Ellis and Tanner Streets, Haddy Lane, Kings Court and Haddon Ave will be going all out to make this shopping experience extra special with incentives, trunk shows and other promotions. Free parking will also be available from Nov. 24 through Dec. 25.
Friday, Nov. 24 is the kick-off to the holiday season. Candlelight Shopping will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Residents can attend a tree-lighting at the Borough Holiday Tree at Library Point at 6:30 p.m. followed by a parade featuring Santa Claus to Kings Court. Musical performances during this kick-off evening will include Haddonfield’s Pick Up Band, Cherry Hill Pine Barons, Shades of Harmony, Music by Lou, and 3 Good Men.
On Small Business Saturday, Nov. 25, shoppers can enjoy musical performances by Here Comes Treble, “Jersey Sound Chorus of Sweet Adelines International, Inc”, Impulse Quartet, Music by Lou, and New Town Jazz. Horse-drawn carriage rides will also be available from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
