“Candid” is a group photography exhibition, curated by Norm Hinsey, to be shown at the Markeim Arts Center in Haddonfield in January and February.
The curator will select works from those submitted for inclusion in the show. Framed photographs entered for consideration can be dropped off at the Markeim prior to the exhibition. Photographs can also be submitted by e-mail to the curator directly at [email protected] any time prior to one week before the drop off dates.
Candid guidelines are as follows:
• Subjects acting naturally or spontaneously without being posed.
• Free from bias, prejudice or malice.
• Marked by honest sincere expression.
• Disposed to criticize severely.
Entrants must be residents, 18 and older, of the South Jersey/Philadelphia region.
Each artist may submit up to three original works, black and white or color and not previously exhibited at Markeim.
Photographs should be matted and framed and ready for hanging, and work should be no larger than 24-inches x 36-inches, and weigh no more than 30 pounds.
There is a $10 entry fee per image, and $25 for three, for photographers who are not members of Markeim. For current members there is $5 entry fee per image, and $12 for three.
Entry fee must be paid with submitted work. E-mail submissions must be pre-paid by contacting the Markeim at 429–8585 to arrange pre-payment — credit card payments accepted by phone.
