Responding to the continuing surge of new COVID cases and extremely high demand for testing, the Burlington County Health Department announced that two new COVID testing sites are opening at the Blue Barn Recreation Center in Evesham and at Rowan College of Burlington County in Mount Laurel.
Both sites will operate five days a week and will administer tests to anyone who lives, works or attends school in Burlington County. Both sites will supplement the ongoing testing operations at Burlington County’s Willingboro Town Center Testing Site, where close to 1,000 tests a day are now being administered.
“Testing is one of our most important tools to control the spread of COVID-19 and from the earliest days of the pandemic we have taken steps to make sure our residents have access,” said Burlington County Health Department Director Dr. Herb Conaway. “The highly-contagious Omicron variant has contributed to the ongoing surge in infections and caused demand for testing to skyrocket. These new testing sites will help us meet that demand and ensure that any resident who needs a test can get one expeditiously.”
Blue Barn testing site
The Blue Barn site is located at 1004 Tuckerton Road, Marlton, and opened on Jan. 20. The site is now operating with the following hours: Sundays, from noon to 6 p.m., and Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Testing is available to anyone two-years-old and older.
Testing at the site will include both PCR saliva tests and rapid antigen tests. PCR test results are typically returned within 48 to 72 hours; antigen test results are returned within 15 minutes but are considered less accurate than the PRC tests.
The site is open for walk-ups only but people can pre-register at SWAB.VLT.CO for rapid antigen tests and COVID.VLT.CO for PCR saliva tests. When pre-registering for a test, click STOP when the website asks for a barcode.
“Testing ensures that those who are positive with COVID can take the necessary steps to protect our family members, friends, co-workers and neighbors,” said Evesham Mayor Jackie Veasy. “Evesham Township is proud to partner with the State of New Jersey, Vault and Burlington County to help expand this important service and ensure all our residents have easy access. By working together, we’re able to help reduce the spread and protect our communities.”
The Rowan College at Burlington County site
The college site will be located on campus in Evans Hall, 100 Technology Way, Mount Laurel. It will open on Jan. 24 and operate weekdays between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Testing will be by appointment only and will consist solely of PCR nasal swab tests. Results are expected within 48 to 72 hours.

Willingboro Town Center site
In addition to the two new sites, testing will continue at the County’s Willingboro Town Center Testing site located at 4390 Route 130 North, Willingboro (next to the Dollar Tree store).
The site will have the following hours beginning Jan. 31: Mondays, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Tuesdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Wednesdays, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Fridays, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Testing at the site is PCR nasal swab tests only. Results are expected within 48 to 72 hours.

Insurance information will be collected at all three sites, but no one will face out-of-pocket expenses or be turned away if uninsured.
“Since the start of COVID, our Board has made providing residents with resources to protect them and their families our top priority and testing has been a huge part of that response,” said Burlington County Commissioner Felicia Hopson, the Board’s liaison to the Health Department. “We were one of the first counties to begin offering testing and now we’re expanding our program again to meet our residents’ needs. I want to thank our Health Department staff and volunteers and all our partners for all they’ve done and continue to do, including Rowan College at Burlington County and Evesham Township for hosting these new testing sites.”
