On Monday, Jan. 16, an evening procession and program will be held in front of the borough hall for Haddonfield’s Martin Luther King Day commemoration. “Positive Change Through Service and Volunteering” will begin at 6:30 and will continue until 8:30 p.m.
At the ceremony, welcoming and opening remarks will be held in front of Borough Hall, followed by candlelight and flashlight procession to Haddonfield Middle School. At 7 p.m. a program in the school auditorium will include remarks, choral selections by the Haddonfield Memorial High School Choir, student essay and poetry readings, student art displays, and recognition of community groups and individuals fostering positive change through community service and volunteering.
All are welcome to attend and to bring a candle or flashlight for the procession.
The mayor and commissioners, Human Relations Commission members, high school choir members, selected honorees, and student art, essay and poetry winners will attend the program.
