Chris Summerhayes, Cherry Hill Township’s director of policy, planning and programs issued an update regarding pick-up of bulk trash items in the municipality in light of the ongoing coronavirus crisis:

“Republic Services cited personnel shortages as a result of COVID-19 and the increased risk of viral transmission associated with handling bulk items as cause for the temporary bulk trash suspension.

“This was first announced March 25, and took effect March 30. This will help to avoid disruptions in trash and recycling collection and keep Republic employees from touching residents’ personal items.

“We’re asking residents to hold off on putting out bulk trash items until this service is resumed.”
