Seven new positive COVID-19 cases have been announced in Gloucester County, according to health department officials, bringing the county’s total COVID-19 case amount to 26.
The seven new cases are as follows:
- A 56-year-old male from Monroe Township
- A 77-year-old female from Washington Township
- An 82-year-old female from West Deptford
- A 52-year-old male from Washington Township
- A 40-year-old male from Washington Township
- A 61-year-old male from Deptford
- A 44-year-old female from Washington Township
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.
County health official reiterate that the COVID-19 threat to residents remains low, though they expect cases to continue to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. A mask should only be worn if a healthcare professional recommends it.
New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or (1-800) 962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.
Residents can also text NJCOVID to 898-211 to receive text information and stay informed.
