Internationally Recognized Organist F. Anthony Thurman will perform a solo organ recital at the First Presbyterian Church, 20 Kings Highway East in Haddonfield, on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 4 p.m. His recital program will include works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Rheinberger, Robinson, Swann and Thalben-Ball. The recital is open to the public. A free-will offering will be collected to support the ongoing repair and restoration of the Moore Memorial Pipe Organ.
F. Anthony Thurman is a musician whose instinctive inspiration renders “elegant” and “passionate” performances characterized by sensitive phrasing, beautifully shaped melodic lines and steady rhythmic energy. He enjoys a distinguished national and international career as organ soloist, having performed hundreds of recitals from coast to coast in the U.S. and abroad. He is recorded on Historic Organs of Louisville (Raven, 1996) and has been featured on American Public Media’s Pipedreams radio and Internet broadcasts.
