Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) visited Haddonfield Middle School on Wednesday, Feb. 17. He spoke to approximately 200 eighth graders studying civics and the Constitution.
As part of a class assignment, the students recently sent issue letters to the congressman’s office on issues such as gun violence/school shootings, fracking, child labor, pollution, minimum wage, poverty, obesity rate, traffic, climate change/global warming, school bullying/cyberbullying, abortion/teen pregnancy, college tuition and the death penalty. The congressman answered all letters in advance of his visit.
The congressman had a dialogue with the students about issues of importance to them. Norcross also spoke about his legislative actions over the past year and what it is like to be a member of Congress.
