The Gloucester County Historical Society (GCHS) Library will hold a book sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 21 and 22. Weather permitting, the sale will be held in the library’s parking lot at 17 Hunter St., Woodbury. More than 1,500 books will be for sale from one of the region’s largest historical libraries in one of the region’s oldest historical societies. Ranging from the mid-1800s to more recent decades, the books are all historical significant works that are either duplicates in our collection or are not directly relevant to Gloucester County History.
In the event of poor weather, the sale will be held inside the library building. During the two-day sale, the GCHS Museum will also be open for free tours. The facility is located catty-corner across the street from Charlie Brown’s Restaurant. So, you can make a full day of it browsing books, touring museum displays and having a pleasant lunch.
