Seven cats were adopted at the Burlington County Animal Shelter’s kitten and pet shower on June 23.
The open house benefitted small kittens and the shelter’s adult pets. Hundreds of pet supplies were gifted to the shelter and its residents, and the event featured games, giveaways, activities and information tables.
“Kitten season is a busy time at the shelter, and our board wants to thank our shelter staff and volunteers for going above and beyond to care for these young animals and help find them forever homes,” said Burlington County Commissioner Dan O’Connell.
There are plenty of opportunities to assist the animals at the shelter and adopters and foster families are always needed. Find photos and information about available animals at https://www.co.burlington.nj.us/168/Animal-Shelter.
For those who can’t adopt or foster, the shelter’s website has a wish list of items and supplies the shelter can use for its animals. Individuals can also help by following the shelter on social media and spreading the word on dogs and cats available there.
