Intro to Excel: Adult seniors. 2 to 4 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Students will learn the basics of Excel, from getting familiar with the interface to using pre-made templates to setting up spreadsheets with simple functions and visual styling. Alternatives to Excel as well as how to set up and maintain a personal home budget will also be covered. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.
Thursday, May 16
First Chapter Club for kids: Ages 8 to 12 years. 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. The First Chapter Club is a way for kids to learn about a variety of books and book series. Participants will have a snack and get a sneak peak into the chapter book. The class will do a quick writing activity and and play games or do a craft related to the book. The class will be reading “Th Wild Robot” by Peter Brown. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.
Marlton Senior Club: Adult Seniors 55 and up. 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gibson House Community Center (535 E. Main St.). All senior citizens ages 55 and older are welcome to attend these meetings. The meetings take place every first and third Thursday of the month. Participants enjoy coffee, donuts and regularly scheduled games and other entertainment. No registration required.

The Evesham Wellness Festival: All residents. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside of the Evesham Township Municipal Complex at 984 Tuckerton Road. There will be a variety of healthcare providers and vendors participating to share wellness activities and general information with attendees. From fitness, to yoga, to medical health services to mental health – there’s something for everyone. This event is in partnership with the Mayors Wellness Campaign Committee and The Evesham Youth Advisory Committee. No registration is required to attend
Monday, May 20
Stay and Play: Ages 5 years and under. 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to stop by the “Children’s Area” for a special “Stay & Play” sponsored and run by the senior class at Cherokee High School. This is a drop-in playtime for children and their caregivers to socialize and explore. No registration required.
Book Discussion – Tom Lake: Adult seniors. 2 to 3 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Senior residents are invited to join a discussion of the book “Tom Lake” by Ann Patchett. New members are welcome and registration is not required.
Gentle Chair Yoga: Adult seniors. 4 to 5 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Senior residents are invited to join this gentle chair yoga class led by a certified yoga instructor. Chair yoga is a wonderful way to move the body and increase flexibility using a chair for support. Perfect for those who are very stiff, have limited mobility or have minor injuries. Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.
