MEND announces new board members

Moorestown Ecumenical Neighborhood Development Inc. (MEND) has announced the addition of seven community leaders and residents to its board of trustees.

They are: Joel Boehmler, St. Matthew Lutheran Church; Michael Brennan, a MEND resident; Rev. Wenda Clarke, Second Baptist Church; Karen Douglass, Trinity Episcopal Church; Ben Morris, Moorestown Monthly Meeting; Kylthia Roberts, Bethel AME Church; and Brandy Ross, another MEND resident.

Board member responsibilities include providing financial oversight, ensuring effective organization and reviewing and approving policies and procedures to best guide and support MEND’s mission of affordable rental housing for low- and moderate-income households.

“We’re excited to welcome our new board members, who truly represent the community we serve,” said Eileen Wirth, MEND president and CEO. “Their passion, expertise and dedication to our cause are invaluable assets as we continue our longstanding mission of providing affordable housing.

“Recognizing the invaluable contributions of our board members, whose terms have concluded,” she added, “we express our profound gratitude to Mary Anne O’Meara, Moorestown Monthly Meeting; Gail Bish, Second Baptist Church; Freida Morgan, MEND resident; and Florence Collins, Bethel, AME.”
