The in-person event – rescheduled from Jan. 17 – is open to parents and guardians, educators, service providers and all community members who will see free presentations on the developmental turning points ahead of students with special needs who are transitioning to the adult world.

This series offers virtual and in-person opportunities to hear from a lineup of experts who will share their expertise and guidance on how to plan confidently for independent living, employment, higher education, training and adult services and benefits.

Also on hand will be representatives of the state’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Division of Developmental Disabilities who will describe services, supports and eligibility requirements.

Representatives from William Kirby Law will explain forms of guardianship and supportive decision-making options. The workshop also includes a light lunch and a provider fair at noon with representatives from diverse community services.
