A Philadelphia man has been charged with the robbery and aggravated assault that occurred at the Village of Taunton Forge in September, according to the Medford Township Police Department.
On Nov. 29, the man was taken into custody by the Pennsylvania State Police due to his alleged involvement in an armed robbery at a convenience store in West Deptford that occurred on Nov. 19, according to police.
The man was charged with criminal attempted murder, armed robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain persons not to possess a firearm, terroristic threats and theft by unlawful taking, according to police.
Evidence located at the time of the man’s arrest and evidence compiled by all participating agencies at multiple locations located evidence allegedly involved in the Medford robbery, according to police.
Officers responded to the Village of Taunton Forge at 10:21 p.m. on Sept. 19 for a report of a male with breathing difficulty. Officers determined that the male was actually the victim of a robbery within the complex. The suspect sprayed the victim in the face with Grizzly Bear spray to disable him and stole his wallet and cell phone. The victim was transported to Virtua Marlton where he was treated for the chemical irritant exposure as well as abrasions to his head, elbows and knees.
