The Township Council and I, strongly condemn the attacks by Hamas and Hezbollah against the people of the State of Israel. As a state and country with a large population of Jewish and Israeli-American neighbors, the events that have taken place in Israel are heartbreaking. Since Saturday, Oct. 7, the world has watched in horror the heinous and appalling acts of terrorism against Israel’s civilian men, women, and children. We have watched terrifying images broadcasted internationally that showed the indiscriminate kidnapping and murder of Israelis, Americans, and others, one of the worst atrocities in history. We want our community and the world to know we stand with the people of Israel and the families who have lost loved ones.
Because of acts of anti-Semitism and online hate, our police department will be monitoring houses of worship of both Jewish and Islamic faiths throughout the township.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Breast Cancer Awareness Month, marked in countries across the world every October, helps to increase attention and support for the awareness, early detection and treatment as well as comfort care of this disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. This October and every day we are supporting fighters, admiring the survivors and honor the men and women taken and never give up on hope.

Mark your calendars! The Washington Township Fire Department’s Annual Trunk or Treat Fire Prevention open house is on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 327 Fries Mills Road. Don’t miss out on live fire demonstrations, a pumpkin patch, bounce houses, carnival rides, and more.

Residents, if you are under the age of 17, there is an 8 p.m. curfew. Halloween will be celebrated in township on Tuesday, Oct. 31. Trick or treating will be from 3-8 p.m. *8pm
curfew. Police officers will be patrolling out residential streets. Be on the lookout for the
