Youth soccer starting in September

Moorestown rec department is also offering a mini summer camp for the week of Monday, Aug. 21

The Moorestown Recreation Department will hold soccer clinics and have league play for children in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade starting in September.

Three Lions Academy will also run two clinics during the week, one for children 4 to 6 (pre-K and kindergarten) and one for children in first and second grade. The department is also offering a mini summer camp for the week of Monday, Aug. 21.

Leagues are forming now for children in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. Pre-K and kindergarten training and scrimmages will be on Saturdays at Wesley Bishop Turf. For students in first through sixth grade, there will be a weeknight practice and matches will be played on Saturdays at either Bishop or Jeff Young park.

The number of participants will determine the size of the leagues, and team size will be kept small to ensure maximum individual game time.
