Moorestown resident named to Sen. Weinberg’s 2023 women’s power list

Claudine Leone Morano enjoys the honor of being named to this recognition in her profession over the last decade

Special to The Sun: Claudine Leone Morano, founder of the New Jersey Government Affairs Counsel, has been named to former state Sen. Loretta Weinberg’s 2023 Women’s Power List for New Jersey.

New Jersey Government Affairs Counsel is pleased to share that its founder, Claudine Leone Morano, has been named to Sen. Weinberg’s 2023 Women’s Power List published in Insider NJ. Morano has enjoyed the honor of being named to this prestigious recognition in her profession over the last decade.

Sen. Weinberg’s annual Women’s Power List names the most influential female lobbyists, journalists, government officials and advocates who influence public policy across New Jersey. Sen. Weinberg, who recently retired from the legislature, was elected to the state senate in 2005 after serving 14 years in the General Assembly.

Upon the publication of the 2023 Power List Sen. Weinberg stated, “One of my favorite parts of working in the legislature for years was the opportunity to work with, advocate with, and befriend some of the smartest, savviest and most inspirational women in the Garden State.”

“I sincerely appreciate this recognition from Sen. Weinberg who continues to be a trailblazer for women and an inspirational advocate,” Morano said. “When I started lobbying in Trenton there were only a handful of women lobbyists, and it was challenging.  We paved the way for the next generation of women entering our profession and I continue to mentor many of them just as Sen. Weinberg has inspired us to do.”

Morano began her career as a lobbyist in Trenton upon graduating from Seton Hall Law School and passing the New Jersey Bar in 1995. She began working as a sole practitioner in 2001 and founded her own lobbying firm, which serves non-profit and association-based clients.

Morano has been a resident of Moorestown since 2004 and is also a member of the Moorestown Board of Education.
