Historical Society receives donated painting

Harrison Township Historical Society. This painting of Union Academy, a building from Mullica Hill’s past, was recently found at a yard sale and donated to the Harrison Township Historical Society.

Recently, a friend of the Harrison Township Historical Society, Cicely Enright, spotted this watercolor of Union Academy by Emily Schellinger at a yard sale. Thinking that it would be of interest to them, she generously purchased and donated it to the Society.

It joins several other watercolor views of buildings around the township by local artists that have been given to us.

“We are so thankful for all the donors over the past 50 years that have helped us build the extensive museum and archival collections we are privileged to care for today,” said the Society’s Facebook page.
