Board of Education Candidate Forum scheduled for Oct. 18

Voters have an opportunity to get to know the candidates

Special to The Sun: Moorestown’s Home & School organization will host a board of education candidate forum via Zoom on Oct. 18.

Moorestown’s Home & School organization will be hosting a Board of Education (BOE) Candidate Forum via Zoom on Monday, Oct. 18th at 7 p.m.  MooreUnity will be moderating the event as they have for the past several years.  The Candidate Forum provides voters with an opportunity to get to know each of the candidates so they can make informed decisions on Election Day.

To ensure the Forum runs smoothly in the Zoom format, voters are asked to submit questions in advance to [email protected] no later than Oct. 12th.  As questions come in, MooreUnity will work with a statistician to prioritize them based upon the most common themes.  The BOE election is non-partisan, but to avoid any perception of party favoritism, the MooreUnity volunteers who read and prioritize the questions will be made up of an equal number of Democrats and Republicans.

We hope you can attend!  (If you can’t, the event will be recorded and available to view at a later date.)  To join the event on Oct. 18th, log into this Zoom event. https://mtps.zoom.us/j/86039487912?pwd=TmtoaXlLUERPam42bTBxVVpZejB3dz09&fbclid=IwAR043afGLMDslA-eYQZ1S44BiBwC_Xn2Nntnk1iZ-ePFsw1dfPLJm-KqLRY#success  Passcode: 980328
