The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 458 new positive cases of COVID-19 since Tuesday, bringing the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases in Camden County to 53,406 and 1,251 total fatalities.
Of Tuesday’s 84 new cases, 25 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected is 32 years old.
Of Wednesday’s 104 new cases, 14 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected is 36 years old.
Of Thursday’s 169 new cases, 45 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected is 34 years old.
Of Friday’s 101 new cases, 24 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected is 34 years old.
In total, 108 patients from this week are under 18 years old.

“As we head into fall there is plenty of reason to be concerned that these trends will continue heading in the wrong direction,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “The Commissioner Board and the Department of Health are urging, as strongly as possible, that all unvaccinated residents get their shot.”
To date, 323,682 Camden County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 292,341 are fully vaccinated. More information regarding vaccination rates throughout the county and available on the state’s COVID-19 dashboard at covid19.nj.gov.
The county Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Delta variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
