Voorhees Theatre Company presents Moana Jr.

Performances are on July 29 through 31. Tickets are available for $12 at www.voorheestheatre.org. Masks and social distancing will be enforced.

The Voorhees Theatre Company (VTC) will present Disney’s Moana Jr. July 29 through 31, at Voorhees Middle School.  The performances are the culmination of the theater company’s summer camp program, involving 65 children in grades three to nine from communities throughout South Jersey.

Adapted from the 2016 Disney animated film, Moana Jr. features all the beloved songs from the film, written by Tony, GRAMMY, Emmy, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina, including “How Far I’ll Go,” “Shiny,” and “You’re Welcome.”

This thrilling and heartwarming coming-of-age story follows the strong-willed Moana as she sets sail across the Pacific to save her village and discover the truth about her heritage. Moana and the legendary demigod Maui embark on an epic journey of self-discovery and camaraderie as both learn to harness the power that lies within. With empowering messages of bravery and selflessness, Moana Jr. is sure to bring out the hero within each of us.

Disney Moana Jr. will be performed four times:  July 29, 2021, at 10:00 a.m.; July 30 at 7:30 p.m.; July 31 at 2:00 p.m.; and July 31 at 7:30 p.m. Reserved tickets for all performances are $12, and are available at www.voorheestheatre.org starting July 12, 2021. Social distancing and mask protocols will be enforced. Voorhees Middle School is located at 1000 Holly Oak Drive in Voorhees.  Contact info: 856-206-3554.

Voorhees Theatre Company is a 501c3 organization whose goal is to provide opportunities to experience theatre as performers, technicians, managers, and audience members.  Each year, it typically offers a summer performance camp, culminating in a youth production; a young adult musical; a fall all-ages musical production; and other educational and performance opportunities.  To learn more, visit
