Later this evening, Kimberly Dickstein Hughes — Haddonfield Memorial High School educator and former New Jersey Teacher of the Year — will be honored by New Jersey PBS at its Virtual Gala. The event is scheduled to air at 7 p.m. Included in the show, is an interview conducted in her own classroom, where the spirit of Shakespeare is ever present.

Dickstein Hughes will be recognized for hosting and producing the television program Learning Live, which was an emergency relief effort led in partnership with NJ PBS, the New Jersey Department of Education, and New Jersey Education Association.
For 12 weeks, she tackled the responsibility of coaching almost 200 educators from across the Garden State to film one hour long lessons for grades 3 to 6 while school was fully remote last spring during the early stages of the pandemic.
