Shawnee junior Capri Mills, known for collecting books, wrote one of her own.
“Shore Blood” is a paranormal thriller set in North Wildwood, New Jersey. Blood and the undead lurk in the corners of a desolate shore town during the winter months. Can one teenage girl and her dog fight them off? Katella and her dog Ghost moved to North Wildwood, New Jersey over the summer. Her life was going great until tragedy struck and she was attacked by a vampire. For a while, she thought herself to be a monster, but found that she could do good by hunting the bad vampires. The question is: can she manage a normal high school life on top of vampirism?
Mills will host a book signing at Roast Coffee Company in Medford on Sunday, March 28 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Mills is a member of the National Honor Society and Shawnee Cross-Country, Swim & Track teams. She wrote this book when she was fifteen years old, mostly during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. As a lover of books her whole life, she is beyond excited to finally publish her own!
In January, Mills collected 5,000 books and donated them to One Bright Ray Community School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her donation gave the school the ability to create a lending library.
