Gloucester Township K-8 schools extend remote learning schedule

Remote learning schedule to last through at least Monday, Feb. 15

Superintendent John Bilodeau put out a communication to parents earlier today informing them that the school district would be extending it’s fully remote learning schedule for an additional two weeks, lasting through Monday, Feb. 15.

In the communication found on the district’s website Bilodeau said that, since his previous communication to parents near the end of December, the state Department of Health had issued three consecutive COVID-19 Activity Level Reports that all indicated the current activity level in the Southwest region of the state was at high risk. Guidelines from the state Department of Health and Camden County Department of Health indicate that the high risk category warrants a full remote schedule.

“Our district’s Return to School Plan has consistently followed the guidelines issued by the NJDOH,” said Bilodeau, in the release. “I have emphasized that school operations will follow the science of this pandemic. The health and safety of our students and staff remain paramount factors in decisions regarding the instructional schedule.”
