The Camden County Department of Health (DOH) reported on Wednesday, 34 new deaths caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 333 additional cases of the disease. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 30,347 in Camden County today and 781 total fatalities.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families, as well as with all of the Camden County residents who have lost a friend, family member, or loved one to this terrible disease,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.
“This is a devastating amount of loss in our community. There have been 147 deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 30 days. Even with vaccines being distributed, we must continue to fight this disease with every weapon at our disposal, and that means wearing masks and social distancing first and foremost.”
The Department of Health is announcing 333 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 2,051 confirmed resident cases and 1,090 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 30,347 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 398 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 781 total fatalities countywide.
The county Health Department is currently working to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.
