Private concert in support of Markeim Arts Center

Violinist Madeline Gralish scheduled to perform on Saturday evening.

Gralish began playing the violin at five years old. After studying violin performance at Mannes College of Music in Manhattan and at Temple University’s Boyer College of Music, she earned a bachelor’s degree in music from Rutgers University-Camden.

Past teachers include Hirono Oka, Hiroko Yajima, Ghislaine Fleischmann, and Gerry Rice. Madeline has performed at the Kimmel Center, at Lincoln Center, and on tour in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Argentina. Musical highlights include playing several world premieres, including two Grammy-nominated recordings with the Temple University Symphony Orchestra, and performing as a soloist with the Ambler Symphony, the Olney Symphony, and the Philadelphia Sinfonia Chamber Orchestra.

Madeline currently performs with the Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey. She is a special education teacher for the Barrington School District and has taught violin privately for nine years, including as an adjunct instructor at Rutgers University-Camden.
