The Camden County Department of Health revealed on Monday 76 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed between Saturday, Aug. 29, and Monday, Aug. 31. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 9,787 in Camden County today and 562 total fatalities.
“We are wishing a fast and full recovery to everyone who has contracted coronavirus in recent days,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.
“As we head into fall, we can sustain our recent progress in the fight against COVID-19 if we follow the advice of public health officials and work to prevent the spread of the disease. Keep wearing masks, social distancing, and working with our contact tracers at the Camden County Health Department.”
Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,442 confirmed resident cases and 580 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 9,787 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 333 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 562 total fatalities countywide.
